Statistics
Use this guide to read the numbers the app keeps: what you've done, what you've earned, and what's still owed.
Before you begin
Statistics only count approved work. A quest you've submitted but nobody has reviewed counts for nothing, the same rule XP, gold and goal progress already follow.
Players open their own figures under Character, then My record. Game Masters open the household's under Family, then Statistics — that screen shows everyone, so it's Game Masters only.
The three periods
This month starts at midnight on the 1st of the current month and runs to now. This year starts at midnight on 1 January. All time counts everything.
Both are the calendar period so far, not a rolling window. On the 3rd of the month, "This month" covers three days. It never slides backwards, so a number you've already earned can't shrink as days pass.
Midnight means midnight in the household's timezone, set under Family, then Household settings. Change the timezone and the boundary moves with it.
What each figure means
Quests done counts approved quest instances. A repeating quest counts once for each time it comes round and gets approved, not once for the quest.
Gold earned is what those approvals paid, added up. It's earnings, not your balance — the Shop spends gold down and this figure never goes down with it. If an event was running that doubled gold, the boosted amount is what's counted, because that's what you actually got.
Most done is the category with the most approvals in the period. When two are level, the one that sorts first in your household's category list wins. Uncategorised approvals count toward Quests done but never toward this figure, so a household that never categorises its quests won't see this card at all.
Money is split into what's been paid and what's still owed, and each currency is listed on its own. 50 SEK and 5 USD are never added together. If your household changed currency, older rewards keep the one they were promised in, so both appear.
Screen time is counted in minutes, on its own. It's never folded into money.
Other rewards are the ones a Game Master typed in themselves — a movie night, a trip. They have no amount, so they're counted rather than added up: "2 rewards", not a total. Like money, they're split into what's been given and what's still owed.
A quest counts for whoever did it — the Player it was assigned to, or whoever claimed it if it was up for grabs. A Game Master who completes their own quests has figures too, and appears in the household list.
What the period does to money
A period counts what was earned in it. A reward earned in July and paid in August still sits under July — it just moves from "Still owed" to "Received" once a Game Master marks it paid.
So the household's "Paid out" figure isn't what left your wallet this month. It's how much of what was earned this month has been settled. The two halves always add up to everything the period earned, which is what makes them worth comparing.
The household view
Every member who did something in the period gets a row, plus a household total. The total is exactly the sum of the rows.
Nobody who did nothing appears. A Game Master who sets quests but never completes one has no row, and that's not an error.
The rows sit next to each other with no ranking. For a ranked view of the same period, see the leaderboard below.
The leaderboard
Four boards rank every Player in the household, on the same three periods as above. Players open theirs under Character, then Leaderboard. Game Masters see all four at the bottom of the household Statistics screen, under Family.
- XP earned ranks what approvals paid, added up — the same way Gold earned does, though XP itself isn't a figure the Statistics screen shows.
- Gold earned ranks the same total described above.
- Longest streak ranks each Player's longest daily streak in the period, using the rule in Streaks and trophies for what breaks a streak. It isn't the same number as your Trophies screen, though: this board recalculates the streak fresh for the period, while Trophies shows the best run you've ever had, which never falls and can predate the period you're looking at here. So a figure on this board can read lower than the same Player's Trophies screen. Even under All time, this board only looks back 365 days: Famify doesn't keep the daily record it needs any further back than that.
- Finished what they were given ranks approvals against what was missed. A quest counts as missed once its due date passes while it's still open or has been rejected. A quest with no due date can never be missed, so it can never count against anyone. A Player with nothing resolved in the period — nothing approved and nothing missed — gets no rate at all, shown as a dash rather than 0%.
There are four boards rather than one because streak and completion rate can't be won by volume. Handing a Player more quests raises their XP and gold, but it doesn't buy a longer streak or a better completion rate — those only move if the quests actually get kept up with and finished.
Game Masters never appear on a board, even ones who complete their own quests.
Common issues
My gold earned is higher than the gold I have. It should be. Gold earned is everything you've ever been paid in the period; your balance is what's left after the Shop. Buying a hat lowers one and never the other.
A reward I was given isn't in my money figures. Money, screen time and other rewards are each counted separately and never mixed. A movie night has no amount, so it appears under Other rewards as a count, not as money.
This month says zero and I definitely did something. Check the date it was approved. Work approved on the last day of last month belongs to last month. Switch to This year or All time to see it.
My figures changed after a Game Master edited a quest. Gold shouldn't: what an approval paid is recorded when it happens, so editing a quest's reward afterwards changes what it pays next time, not what it already paid. XP earned before this feature shipped is the one exception — those older approvals didn't record their own XP, so they still fall back to the quest's current reward and will move if it's edited. Anything approved since keeps its own recorded XP like gold does.
The household total doesn't match what I paid out this month. It isn't meant to. See above — the period counts what was earned in it, not when the money changed hands.
Someone's missing from the household list. They have nothing in that period. Try All time.
